The genuine Umbrian cuisine

Umbrian cuisine dates back to Etruscan and Roman times and has been scarcely influenced by the neighbouring regions. It is simple and genuine and is mainly based on agricultural products linked to seasonal cycles and festivities and presenting an exclusive local peculiarity. Meats and cheeses, but also pastries and cakes, wines and oils, are the delicacies that make our region unique. The heritage of a rural culture is still present in everyday life and in the tables of the many inns and local restaurants of the region. You will be involved in several activities related to enogastronomy: hunting for truffles and cooking it, making pasta and bread, visiting dairy farms, watching cheese, beer and wine making and ”chianina” cattle breeding.
